Jan Williams 2007 Jan was the President of WMHA for many
years, and was instrumental in introducing Morgan horses to the area.
She was very adamant that WMHA was NOT a 4-H club, rather, a final step
for exhibitors before going on to the A-Class circuit. |

Elizabeth Banks 2007
Liz was instrumental in promoting the Morgan horse and WMHA in
1991. You may remember her farm, Sunup Morgans, in Marion,
Michigan. She has been a friend to many in this club throughout
the years. |

Harriett Lanning 2003 Harriett was in love with
horses and people - she was always smiling, always lending a hand.
She wanted to learn about and show her horse, and when she finally was
able to make it to the showring, was sadly killed in a freak accident
with her horse before she made it into her first class. The
Harriett Lanning Lending Library has been established by Karen Parks to
keep the tradition of education about horses and Harriet's memory alive.
There are tons of available items that you may check out including
educational videos, books and other media for free by calling Karen at
(231) 533-8310. |

Dave Martin 2000 Dave was also instrumental in promoting
the Morgan horse and starting WMHA in 1991. He was well known for
his horses with the prefix of Hideaway, and for helping others get
started in Morgan ownership. His stallion, Sunup Mike, is a
prominent name in Northern Michigan Morgan bloodlines. |
